LongHouse Reserve Description
You'll hear many variations of "Mom! Look at this!" when you visit LongHouse, a 16-acre sculpture garden. Kids will race right into the Fly's Eye Dome, which looks like a huge wiffle ball stuck in the ground. Peering into the lily pond, see how many candy-colored Dale Chihuly-designed glass balloons kids can spot. Here, walking on the grass is encouraged. Exploring garden paths, discovering hidden art -- such as Yoko Ono's marble lawn chess set -- and rolling down the grassy amphitheater are big hits.
Kid Tips
Babies: This is a lovely and peaceful place to stroll for curious -- or sleeping -- babies.
Toddlers & Pre-K: Warn your little mountain goat that climbing on the art and picking flowers is not allowed.
