The Indian Tepee Gift Shop Description
Walk in the door of this cozy, half-century-old store, and just keep on walking. The place goes on forever. Local wares can keep you busy for hours, with edible goodies, crafts, toys, plush animals and novelties, plus cozy slippers and flannels to keep the adventurer warm on those Adirondack winter days. The snowy Christmas section will entertain kids even in summer. And there isn't a better place to scoop up those all-important souvenir sweatshirts.
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: Like the store itself, staff here is warm and friendly, but you'll still want to make sure to keep a hand on little ones amid all the fun stuff.
School-Age Kids: A whole cabinet full of colorfully named hot sauces will entertain this age, even if some of the monikers will make mom blush.
Pre-Teens & Teens: In this age of Hippie Chic, the sheepskin footwear department and large selection of Bajas will be a big hit.
