Georgia O'Keefe Museum Description
Until recently, the artwork of New Mexico's native daughter was easier to see in New York or Washington, D.C. than in her hometown. That all changed, however, when a soaring Baptist church was converted into the new Georgia O'Keefe Museum, which holds the largest collection of the artist's work in the world. The brilliant canvases will give budding artists all the inspiration they need to pick up a paintbrush, and the museum shop has beautiful glass and silver jewelry based on the flowers featured in O'Keefe's paintings.

Toddlers & Pre-K: Even little ones will appreciate O'Keefe's bright, colorful works.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Insist that they listen to the audio tour; it's interesting, and they'll get a lot more out of it.

- Check the website for events. On Fridays the museum is open until 8 p.m., and there are often evening events as well, so if you'd like to make this an evening activity, check the event calendar.
