Museum of Indian Arts and Culture Description
This rather serious museum, which traces the history of the indigenous people of the Southwest from pre-history all the way up through contemporary arts and crafts, has gorgeous exhibits of pottery and textiles. Archeology buffs shouldn't miss the laboratory with its collection of artifacts from all over the Southwest.
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: Younger kids will love the fun "Discovery Room" filled with puzzles, foam building rocks, and other hands-on exhibits.
School-Age Kids: Those studying Native American culture will enjoy connecting the exhibits with what they learned in school.
Pre-Teens & Teens: The museum has numerous online exhibits that provide in-depth introductions to Indian textiles, pottery.

- Make a day of it. Located on Museum Hill, along with four other museums including the Museum of International Folk Art. Hit them all at once to get a big dose of culture and history.

Hours: Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. During the summer months, from Memorial Day through Labor Day, the Museums are also open Mondays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
