Cape May Whale Watcher Description
Humans aren't the only ones who summer on the Jersey Shore. Each summer, a pod of roughly 2,500 dolphins returns to the shores off Cape May and Wildwood, where they frolick in the waters, much to the delight of kids, who enjoy being the first to spot a dorsal fin or blowhole. Humpback whales and porpoises make frequent visits as well, but it's best to call ahead to see what sightings have been common lately, as the animals tend not to keep a tight schedule. Naturalists on board help keep kids occupied with fun facts about the animals they see, which helps to alleviate boredom between sightings.

Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: Although young kids will love seeing a dolphin close to the boat, they might become restless quickly if the animals are too far away or not seen at all -- and then you're trapped on a boat until it's over.
