Cape May County Park and Zoo Description
Your typical county park might have a few rabbits and, if you're lucky, a deer or two. Not this one. The Cape May County Park and Zoo serves up 80 acres of beautifully maintained exhibits. More than 200 creatures from all over the world -- including an amazing Bengal Tiger, beautiful black bear, golden eagle, giraffes, and lions. There's also a petting zoo with some of the more touchable animals. Best of all, the cages and pens allow you to get up-close with most of the animals. When the animals are out, you're so close you can almost feel their breath. It's fantastic.

Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: If they get bored with all of the animals (doubtful), they'll love the big, plastic playground in the park.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Might be a little tame for your too-cool-for-the-zoo crew.
Planning Notes
- Pack a picnic lunch. The park's picnic area is lovely. You can also reserve a picnic shelter for $60.00 in case of inclement weather.
- Stroller rentals available. The on-site gift shop rents durable, zoo-themed strollers.
- Don't feed the animals. It's the quickest way to get ejected from the park.
