Story Land Description
Parents are delighted by the super clean, beautifully maintained grounds and friendly staff. Thrill-seeking kids can't get enough of the brightly painted flying fish, splashy raft ride, miniature polar coaster, and flume-style Bamboo Chute. Tamer favorites include the antique cars (yes, that's your 5-year-old behind the wheel), flying Dutch shoes, swan boats, and antique carousel. Need a rest? Climb aboard the miniature train that toots all over the grounds. Stop in the Loopy Lab: For once it's okay to pelt your sibling (the balls are soft foam) and fun to clean up with nifty ball vacuums.
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: Tots will love exploring the shady Little Dreamers play area and meeting goats, sheep, rabbits, and more.
School-Age Kids: Plan to spend the day and dress to get wet.
Planning Notes
- Borrow some wheels. Story Land offers free strollers for use in the park, but they're often scarce between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
- Lunch at a nice price. The park offers a wide selection of reasonably priced kid-friendly food along with expected treats like ice cream, soft pretzels, and fried dough. There are plenty of shady spots and picnic tables for those who bring their own goodies.
- Document the moment. Get the whole family on the Bamboo Chute and splurge on a $10 photo souvenir.
Just the Facts
Hours: Mid-June through Labor Day: Daily 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Open some weekends in spring and fall.
Fees: $20-$30

Reviews of Story Land
Fun for the whole family!!

What we loved:
Its a fun low key, relaxing theme park.
What we didn't love:
Some of the food prices are getting up in price
We love going every year. Such a nice clam family theme park where teens are running over you to get to the next ride. Most of the rides all ages can ride and your encouraged to ride them with your kids. Unlike kiddie land rides at some parks. The drive from Maine into the White mountains is beautiful and worth the drive! The prices are getting a bit pricy but still not as bad as some theme parks. And if you want you can bring lunches and snacks. We love spurging on the Hawiian shaved ice, Yummy! For $4, you get a lg and can get one or two flavors or one of their special flavors. Read More
