What we loved:
The Gondola Rides
What we didn't love:
The Heat
We stayed at South Lake Tahoe where the Heavenly Gondola is located. It's a phenomenal enclosed gondola that is surrounded by windows. It takes you to the top of the mountain for great scenic views of the lake from the decks. The kids were thrilled and we were even able to hike around some as the ground was fairly flat around Adventure Peak. There's a restaurant there that served good food at a decent price. We were even able to pick up souveniers at the gift shop. Down at the base, there are a lot of places to go but the best is a boat ride out on the crystal blue lake. We rented jet skis and had a blast! I wouldn't hesitate to go back here and spend more than the 4 days we did. It wasn't enough time.
