Gondola Ride Description
The gondoliers sing "O Sole Mio" and wear classic striped shirts, and the boats slide under the Bridge of Sighs. No, it's not Venice. But there's no jet lag, either, at the Venetian Resort Casino, which operates gondolas on man-made canals. All ages enjoy the floating tour of the resort built after a Venetian palazzo, complete with ceiling paintings and gilded columns. Outdoor routes troll around a sunny piazza and indoor routes ply the faux Grand Canal inside a frescoed shopping mall.

Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: The singing gondoliers manage to capture fleeting attention spans.
School-Age Kids: Everyone loves the boat ride, though the 12-to-15-minute tour may leave them begging for a repeat.
Pre-Teens & Teens: The embarrassment of being on a slow-moving tourist vehicle in sight of other mall-going teens may be too much for older kids.
Planning Notes
- Choose your scenery. Outdoor and indoor gondola routes are separate, so choose the one that interests you the most.
- Be aware of seating capacity. Gondolas seat four.
- Go early. Romantics fill the boats in the evening, so go earlier if you don't want to wait for a launch.
- Make a reservation. Though not required, a reservation will help you jump the line.
