Stratosphere Tower Description
Roller coasters are hair-raising, to be sure. Now take a trio of thrill rides and place them 1,149 feet in the air. That's the Stratosphere, Vegas' tallest building and rooftop home to three adrenaline-spiking rides, including a teeter-tottering terror that sends riders over the side of the building. Only the strongest teenage stomachs can take that sort of action, but the panoramic vistas from the Observation Deck will appeal to a broader demographic.
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: Little ones will ooh and ahh at the light-filled landscape.
School-Age Kids: The outdoor area of the Observation Deck is thrill aplenty for this crowd.
Pre-Teens & Teens: The most daring teens will want to sit in the front row of X-Scream, which dangles them above the Strip, for fullest frights.
Planning Notes
- Go late. If you're in it for the views, Las Vegas looks far more enchanting when the sun is down and the neon is lit.
