The Forum Shops at Caesars Description
The Forum Shops -- all 160 of them -- were designed to recreate the streets of an ancient Roman marketplace, but that's not why families like it. Instead, they go for the talking and moving statues of Venus, Apollo, Bacchus, Neptune, and other classical deities "acting" in sound and light shows. It makes the Forum a great place to stroll when you're on the Strip. Most of the designer shops are very sophisticated, but kids will thank you for taking them to famed toy store FAO Schwarz while you're on the premises.
Kid Tips
School-Age Kids: The moving statues captivate this group, even if the dialogue is obscure.
Pre-Teens & Teens: The consumer splendor of the mall, home to Abercrombie & Fitch and other desirables, may outstrip the statue entertainment value among older teens.
Planning Notes
- Stake out your space. Shows take place hourly, when crowds collect near the statues. Try to stake out one of the benches in the show rotundas to wait it out.
- Serial show-going. It's possible to make your way from one end of the mall to the other and catch a couple of shows en route if your timing is right. If not you can always dawdle over gelato.
- Goof around. Most of the stores here are super high-end, but the circular escalator is a novelty that's entirely free.
