Kid Tips

Babies: There's plenty of room to maneuver a stroller in the store, and babies will enjoy getting a glimpse of the wiggling, colorful shapes of light projected on the floor and walls throughout the store.

Toddlers & Pre-K: The easels in the store are toddler-height and there's no lack of crayons to choose from. Kids this age will love the giant coloring books, stuffed crayons in several colors, board books, and puzzles for sale here.

School-Age Kids: Three words will be sure to drive your school-age kid wild: Sidewalk Paint Sprayers. Kids can take their next hopscotch game up a notch using washable paint that looks like sidewalk chalk.

Pre-Teens & Teens: Kids with an artistic bent can pick up colored pencils, watercolors, or even "reminisce" with a box of crayons. Tie dye T-shirts with the Crayola logo are for sale, too.

Planning Notes

• Parking deals. Parking is free on weekends and on weekdays for three hours with validation from any Crown Center shop. Bring receipts totaling $25 or more to the customer service office or information booth at Crown Center for three more hours of free parking.
• Bring your coupon books. If you send for the "Discover KC" pass from the Kansas City Convention and Visitors Association, you'll receive a coupon book filled with offers for Crown Center shops, including the Crayola Store.

• Grab a juice next door. The Crayola Cafe is located next to the Crayola Store; stop for a drink and have kids take home a crayon-shaped cup.
