Big Cedar Stables Description
Climb aboard your chosen four-legged friend to amble along the winding paths that take riders through the knobs and quiet, shaded forests, with scenic views of the lake and surrounding countryside along the way. The one-hour trail rides are easy and comfortable for riders of all levels, but they're just the start -- pony rides for younger children, carriage rides for families with babies, and campfire wagon rides (including storytelling and s'mores around the campfire) are unforgettable adventures your family shouldn't miss.
Kid Tips
Babies: Hop on the campfire wagon ride -- the pricing is $20 per adult and children under 3 are free. It's a nice way to finish up a day of exploring.
Toddlers & Pre-K: The pony rides, while only 10 minutes long, are themed for the little ones -- kids get to be a sheriff, an outlaw, or a barrel racer. Photos and accessories like hats and bandanas are part of the package.
Planning Notes
- Age restrictions. Riders must be six years of age or older to go on the trail ride.
- Saddle up early. Pony rides are sometimes available on a walk-in basis, but reservations are recommended for all of the rides, whether on the trail, in the corral, or on the carriage.
