Cycle, Path & Paddle Description
Known for its gorgeous fall foliage, wildlife, trees, and pristine waters, the heart of the Minnesota North Woods vacation experience is its back-to-nature recreation like skiing, fishing, kayaking, and hiking. Cycle, Path & Paddle outfitters rents canoes, kayaks, bikes, cross-country skis, snowshoes, and paddle boats that you can use on one of the many local lakes, rivers, or trails. Its experienced staff can tell you which routes and trails will meet your family's needs (though we recommend the paved Paul Bunyan Trail, known as one of the best biking trails in the state). Or, hire a guide to take your family on an adventure you won't forget.
Kid Tips
Babies: Trail-a-bikes, trailers, and baby safety seats are available, so even the youngest kids can join in.
School-Age Kids: This is a great opportunity to help kids realize that exercise can be enjoyable -- especially if they haven't yet taken to sports at school.

- Be prepared. Since you'll be spending the entire time outdoors, pack sunscreen, a water bottle, and consider applying bug spray.
