Mall of America Description
Even if your family isn't the shop-til-you-drop sort, you'll find plenty to do at the largest indoor mall in the United States. Featuring a variety of shopping options (chain stores and boutiques), arcades, restaurants, drop-in childcare, the Lego Imagination Center, an aquarium, and, yes, an indoor amusement park, it's easy to spend a day -- or an entire week -- at the Mall of America.

Kid Tips
Babies: Prepare for the crowds. Weekends are particularly bad. Come up with a system for keeping track of your kids, and, if possible, visit during a weekday or when the weather is nice (so there won't be as many people looking for indoor entertainment).
School-Age Kids: Don't miss the Lego Imagination Center, a free area to play and build, featuring huge Lego creations including a dinosaur and blimp.
Planning Notes
- Have a plan. The Mall of America (MOA) is huge -- parking at the "wrong" entrance can mean adding a half-hour or more of walking time to and from your car. Map out where you want to go ahead of time using the MOA Website.
