Minneapolis Sculpture Garden Description
Finally, a relaxed environment where you can take in some art while your kids run around and climb on sculptures. (Yes, they're actually encouraged to do so!) This beautiful 11-acre park, a great place to hang out on a nice day, is a joint project of the Walker Art Center and the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Department. Don't miss the garden's Cowles Conservatory, offering displays of native, seasonal, and tropical plants.

Kid Tips
Babies: If you're up for a bit of a walk, approach the garden from across the street in historic Loring Park, then walk across the busy street via the pedestrian bridge (itself a piece of art) to enjoy the sculpture garden.
Toddlers & Pre-K: The park, garden, and pedestrian bridge are stroller-friendly.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Kids this age love the famous Spoonbridge and Cherry, an enormous sculpture of a bright red cherry on a curved metal spoon. Also look out for an enormous rabbit jumping over a bell.
Planning Notes
