Minnesota Zoo Description
The Minnesota Zoo is home to more than 2,000 animals of almost 450 species, from tigers and monkeys to wolves and dolphins, and, as of 2008, grizzly bears and sea otters. Animals are arranged by the areas in which you'd find them in the wild, rather than by species, giving the zoo the feel of a nature preserve and there's plenty of room for the animals to move around.

Kid Tips
School-Age Kids: When little ones get tired, hop on the monorail to get off your feet and catch a birds-eye view of the wildlife. Have kids sit on the outside; the middle of the car is not ideal for viewing.
Planning Notes
- B.Y.O.Everything. Don't forget to pack your own snacks, drinks, and sunscreen (and expect to spend a lot of time in the sun), as prices are expensive.
