Padelford Mississippi Riverboat Tours Description
The "Mighty Mississippi" is a huge part of the rich cultural and industrial history of the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, and what better way to experience it than by taking a riverboat cruise? This sightseeing excursion departs near the Science Museum of Minnesota and takes you through the heart of the Great River National Park, offering views of Fort Snelling and other St. Paul and Minneapolis historical sites. The tour is narrated and is a great way to understand the area better; even kids who aren't fascinated by history will love the novelty of floating down the big river.

- Bring hats and slather on sunscreen. The public tour boat is covered, but not enclosed, and the tours often happen during the hottest part of the day.
- All the world's a ... boat? Consider taking a ride on Padelford's Minnesota Centennial Showboat. The University of Minnesota Showboat Players stage productions inside this boat-turned-theater, which cruises gently down the river as the audience watches the show. (Note: This means you can't exactly sneak out at intermission.)
