Rainbow Lodge Canoeing Description
Ernest Hemingway named his famed "Big Two-Hearted River" after this Michigan beauty, itself named for its two equally-sized branches. It's more than 100 miles of free-flowing water, ideal for camping, canoeing, and fishing, especially in the spring when it's high trout season. For kids, there's a fun swinging suspension bridge near the mouth of the river. Rainbow Lodge has been hosting canoe trips for 30 years.
