Canopy Adventure Park Description
Think of ziplines as Disneyland in the jungle, with a dash of nature and eco education thrown in. Yes, you learn about bugs, plants, jungle ecology (my kids were fascinated with the information that cicadas mate and die in one day) and yes, you can see exotic birds, butterflies, and flowers from the platforms high up in the canopy. But really, the fun comes when you're flying through the jungle at ear-burning speeds, or rappelling down from platforms high off the ground. Kids love challenging each other to new feats of daring, and ziplining in Puerta Vallarta certainly meets the challenge.
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: Children younger than 8 will need to choose a less challenging adventure. Vallarta Adventures' minimum age is 8 and minimum height is 4 feet for their canopy tour, which is fairly adventurous and challenging.
Planning Notes
- Leave cameras at home. They prefer you not to bring cameras, because you can drop them. They will take photos (for a price) or you can try to talk them into letting you wear it on a strap.
- Wear long pants or capris. The harnesses can be uncomfortable in shorts, and a skirt would be disastrous.
