Interactive Cancun Aquarium Description
With a two-story shark tank filled with bull sharks, nurse sharks, lemon sharks, brown sharks, and black tip sharks (that makes you a little nervous to stand in front of); and exotic fish running in tubes throughout the place; this interactive aquarium is a unique experience that's fun for the whole family. An evening dolphin show is an educational and exciting finish to an afternoon of learning about, touching, and seeing Caribbean fish, stingrays, and other marine life.

Kid Tips
Babies: Will enjoy watching the colorful fish and the touch tank (where they can feel live sting rays, sea stars, and other marine life).
Toddlers & Pre-K: The touch tank, the dolphin show, and looking at the aquarium's nine sharks will intrigue these fickle little ones.
School-Age Kids: The guided tours and information about Mexican marine life will interest any nature-loving school kid.
Pre-Teens & Teens: The aquarium is geared towards younger children but teens will enjoy swimming with dolphins and feeding the sharks (reservations required)—they borrow a wet suit, go into an acrylic cage, and give the sharks food on a long stick—as well as the dolphin show.
Planning Notes
- No food allowed. No food is allowed inside the aquarium but a restaurant, Jugo de Limon, serves seafood and Mexican food.
- Stroller accessible. The aquarium is wheelchair and stroller (even double stroller) accessible.
- Go in the late afternoon. The daily dolphin show starts at 6PM. If you go in the afternoon you'll have time to explore the aquarium and then see the show.
- Consider reservations to feed the sharks: If you have brave teens in your family, call ahead to reserve a spot to feed the sharks (for an additional cost).
