Cape Cod Baseball League Description
A premier NCAA-sanctioned summer baseball league, CCBL plays in 10 cities on the Cape. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket and watch "the stars of tomorrow" play ball. The players are friendly and eager to interact with their young fans, especially ones hoping to get autographs from future Hall of Famers. "Yes, everything in our cottage is signed!" says one mom. Each team also hosts wonderful week-long baseball clinics for children ages 5 and up. Concession stands and bathrooms are open at every game, and picnicking is allowed.
Planning Notes
- Bring a sweatshirt and cap. Sweatshirts for everyone can cozy up a cool Cape evening. Don't forget baseball caps to fit right in -- the Boston set loves baseball caps almost as much as baseball itself.
- Seating smarts. Blankets are nice, but everyone will be more comfy in their own chairs. Consider buying pint-sized ones at a department store in advance.
- This could be worth something some day! Have a pen handy and something to have autographed by the players, because these guys will sign anything. Pack a fabric pen if your kids want a baseball cap or T-shirt signed.
