Cartwheel Go-Karts Description
Although you'll have to battle the traffic on Route 28, the go-karts and batting cages at Cartwheels are worth it (even the locals admit to begging to go as kids). Two-seat go-karts allow mom or dad to take the wee ones for a spin. Older (responsible) siblings can also drive younger brothers or sisters. The go-karts aren't the only attraction -- kids also love the batting cages accessible to all skill levels.
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: Can't drive yet? Jump away the hours in the inflated bouncy house or take advantage of the softer, gentler wiffle-ball batting cage.
Pre-Teens & Teens: If they aren't interested in baseball or driving go-karts, the arcade should keep older kids entertained.
Planning Notes
- Expect traffic snarls. If you can't turn left on congested Route 28, consider turning right, pulling into a business on the left, and then turning in the direction you need to travel.
- Avoid the post-meal rush. Lulls in the lines occur around lunch and dinner, but it gets especially busy at night with older kids and teens. If your children are small, go during non-peak hours when it's calmer.
