Wellfleet Drive-In Theatre Description
Take a trip back in time and spend a night out at the Wellfleet Drive-In, built in the 1950s. Put your kids in their pajamas and pack the back of the car with pillows, blankets, and snacks. It's an experience that harkens back to the good old days of your parents' youth in more ways than one: all of the movies (most rated G, PG, and PG-13) are double features.
Kid Tips
Babies: Take a sleep-inducing, scenic drive before the movie to lull little ones to sleep.
Planning Notes
- Cash only. No credit cards, debit cards, or checks are accepted.
- Go early for the best parking and screen views. Smaller cars get the prime close-up parking; SUVs, minivans, and full-size vans have designated parking.
- Movies are shown rain or shine. Here's a way to brighten the day even if the weather is gloomy.
- The box office opens at 6:45 for the 7:30 show. Kids can play in the theatre's playground until the movie starts, as well as during intermission.
- Don't end the night with a dead battery. Make sure to turn your car completely off, including the air conditioning and headlights.
