The Sandwich Glass Museum Description
The crowd pleaser at this museum is the live glass-blowing show. Although some parents may instinctively shy away from anything "molten hot" and "glass" with kids, children will be mesmerized by seeing this amazing art made before their eyes. Seeing the demonstration up-close combines the worlds of science and art in one truly unique experience as the glass blower heats the glass in a large, brick, beehive-type oven and then blows through a long tube to create colorful glassware.
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: Kids are kept safely away from exhibits they could harm or that would harm them, and breakables are behind glass doors for protection.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Even the most jaded teens will think glass blowing rocks.
