Dinosaur World Description
Dinosaurs in Kentucky? There were none (as far as we know) in this part of the state, but Dinosaur World is an over-the-top, fun romp nonetheless for toddlers to elementary school-aged kids. Wander through a forest filled with life-sized beasts, dig for fossils (keep your three favorites), or uncover the bones of an ancient creature in the Bone Yard. Don't miss the small museum, with enough information to satisfy curiosity without getting bogged down in details.
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: There's nothing truly scary here, although the life-size models of the more sharp-toothed dinosaurs may elicit a surprised scream or two.
School-Age Kids: Be sure to take older kids to the new mammoth exhibit—some woolly mammoth remains were found in northern Kentucky, and they can climb on the smallest of the elephant-like creatures. Older kids will be more fascinated than you'd suppose during the fossil dig and dinosaur walk, but will likely blow through the museum and movie.
