Cummings Playground Description

Across the street from the Lincoln Park Zoo, Cummings Playground is a popular place to let the kids loose physically after filling their minds with animal facts. Regular mommy and daddy groups meet up here and there's a strong bias towards the youngest kids with bucket-style swings, a large sandbox and bronze animal sculptures to climb on. But the more elaborate jungle gym and high-flying swings are venues of the more coordinated. Located between the Farm-in-the-Zoo and the Conservatory it's a natural and welcome stop on a Lincoln Park tour. Be sure to check out our other Lincoln Park vacation ideas.

School-Age Kids: A bronze ape and two mountain lions, all lifesize, just beg you to climb on them (it's acceptable).
