Chicago History Museum Description
What's so special about a Chicago hot dog? Did a cow really start the Great Chicago Fire? What was Chicago like before it was a big city? At the recently renovated Chicago History Museum -- featuring exhibits on the people, industries, and events that have made Chicago the city it is today -- your kids will learn the answers to these questions and more. The popular Konen Family Children's Gallery focuses on multi-sensory experiences; yes, kids can even smell the history of Chicago!
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: They'll love becoming a Chicago hot dog by climbing inside a kid-sized "bun" and loading up with "condiments."
School-Age Kids: Science buffs will enjoy constructing Chicago-style bridges and playing with a model of the John Hancock building in the History a La Carte interactive stations.
