Kid Tips

Babies: The sleighs aren't stroller friendly, so be prepared to carry babies in your arms. Trail Creek Cabin does provide high chairs for dinner.

School-Age Kids: Help kids sit near the front of the sleigh, where they can enjoy the ride while watching the horses, looking over the edge at the creeks and bridges below, and chatting with the friendly driver.

Planning Notes

• Advance reservations are required. These dinner rides are wildly popular and usually sell out. Call ahead as soon as you know you'll be in Sun Valley.
• Show up early. If you get to the lobby a few minutes before departure, you can stop at the lounge for hot chocolate to go.
• Dress warmly! Wool blankets are provided on the sleigh, but you'll be glad for a warm jacket, hat, and gloves.
• The sleigh ride is optional. Dinner-only reservations can be made by calling 208-622-2800.

Hours: Sleighs depart the Sun Valley Inn Tuesday through Saturday at 5:45 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Trail Creek Cabin opens for Happy Hour at 5 p.m. and dinner at 5:30 p.m.
