Coeur d' Alene Resort Golf Course Description
Take a beautiful lakeside setting, add in 17 holes of moderate challenge and one that's simply out of this world, and you're on a golfer's dream course. The hallmark of the Coeur d'Alene Resort's golf course is the 14th, the world's only moveable floating green that's 150 yards off shore. Everyone gets two shots to get on the green (those who don't can take a drop and a stroke penalty) and then board the classic wooden motorboat, aptly named the Putter, to finish up the hole.
Kid Tips
School-Age Kids: Give the youngest of the foursome the most improtant task of all: ordering lunch. Fax the order in on tee No. 9 and your wooden picnic basket will be waiting for you at tee No. 10.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Expect the game for all ages to move along; caddies come with each group to keep the play moving on pace, which may or may not be a good thing depending on your teen's ability.
Planning Notes
- Everyone plays. The course is open to the public; resort guests are ferried over to the course via a beautiful classic motorboat over Lake Coeur d'Alene. Junior rates, lessons and rentals are available.
- Book ahead. The course books up quickly, no matter the day, so reserve tee times well in advance.
- Package deals. There are plenty of stay and play packages available through the resort for discounted hotel/greens fees.
