Savannah Safari Description
This 90-minute walking tour for kids makes learning about Savannah fun. They'll look for animals disguised in the historic architecture (they're all over) and follow the instructions of a 16-page booklet (called "Savannah Safari") written by the guides. These tours are a great way for families to explore this walking-friendly city.
Kid Tips
Babies: They're welcome to tag along.
Toddlers & Pre-K: Savannah's pretty stroller-friendly, but the tour may be a tad long for a toddler's attention span.
School-Age Kids: School-aged kids will love this treasure hunt. Scouts can also win badges for completing the tour.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Pre-teens will enjoy the tour. Older teens might find it baby-ish.
Planning Notes
- Bring snacks. All that animal sleuthing makes kids hungry. Although the guides bring snacks, who's to say your kids will eat them?
- Wear sturdy shoes. Dress like you're going on a safari (which you are), and don't forget to also bring water and sunblock.
