New World of Coca-Cola Description
Over-the-top is the best way to describe this multi-sensory museum of Coke paraphernalia that kids seem to adore. A self-guided tour starts with a mock documentary called the "Happiness Factory," where animated creatures who live inside the Coke machine tell how they feel about Coke. There's also the adorable Coke polar bear who walks around for photo ops, a free Coke for every visitor, a tasting room, and a very exciting 4-D movie (that's best for older kids).

Kid Tips
Babies: With all the noise, music, video, and displays, babies will have lots to ogle. Family restrooms are available.
Toddlers & Pre-K: The seats in the back of the 4-D movie don't move like the other ones, but the film (and accompanying screams from the audience) are a thrill older kids will prefer.
School-Age Kids: Best for kids who like Coke and are interested in history. There's a lot of noise and multimedia in this museum, which may get a little intense for more sensitive souls. The tasting room (with beverages from Africa, Latin America, Asia, and everywhere Coke products are sold) is a guaranteed hit.
Pre-Teens & Teens: The intense 4-D movie, which includes a dragonfly bite (ouch), a snowboarding ferret, and a lot of misting, will thrill teens. They'll also like the Pop Culture area, which includes a couch from season 4 of "American Idol."
Planning Notes
- Buy tickets online. They're cheaper and you'll avoid waiting in line.
- Combine with a visit to the Georgia Aquarium. Since they're side by side, consider going to one in the morning, having a picnic, and visiting the other in the afternoon.
- Don't bring a double stroller. Single strollers are fine but this popular destination gets c-r-o-w-d-e-d and there are lots of stairs to climb and doors to walk through. If you've got two kids that need carrying put the second one in a backpack.
- Try to avoid the crowds. Go on a weekday first thing in the morning or after 2 p.m. Noon to 2 p.m. is the busiest time of the day.
