Walt Disney Studios at Disneyland Paris Description
Across the way from Disneyland Paris, Walt Disney Studios offers everything from shows about the history of Disney cartoons to terrifying rides where you drop 13 stories in a dilapidated building. The lines tend to be shorter and the rides just as exciting. Don't miss Crush's Coaster, inspired by the movie, "Finding Nemo," where fearless travelers sit on a tortoise shell and hurl through the Australian jet stream; the "Cars" Race Rally ride; or the "Twilight Zone" Tower of Terror, if you dare go on it!
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: The list of rides and attractions which are best for the youngest set are available online so you can plan your attack in advance.
School-Age Kids: Children love Disneyland (of course) but are so engaged by Walt Disney Studios that they'll want to come back tomorrow (and the next and the next). The rides are fantastic and there are lots of learning opportunities. One favorite is the Art of Disney Animation, an animated and live show that teaches children about the history and techniques of cartooning.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Don't be surprised if there are lots of college kids on the RER as you head towards Walt Disney Studios! The thrilling rides and magic of Disneyland have appeal for kids of all ages and you'll also see lots of adults without children at the park! The biggest thrill ride for teens at the Studios is the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Screams resound throughout the park! There's also the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, which goes upside down and takes you from 0 to 100 km/hr (0 to 60 miles) in less than three seconds .
Planning Notes
- Plan to stay two days. If you want to see both Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios a combined ticket costs only 10 Euros extra, but trying to do both parks in one short day is tough and you might not get to enjoy all of the rides, attractions, and shows each park has to offer.
- See a show. You won't want to miss the Animagique show that plays throughout the day. Check these show times as you enter the Studios.
- Save your shopping for the end of the day. It's tempting to buy lots of souvenirs as you explore the park but keep in mind that the megastores at the entranceway stay open after the attractions close so you have plenty of time to shop.
- Make reservations if you want to eat afterward. You can find plenty of food inside the park but if you want to stay for dinner, at a place like Planet Hollywood or the Rainforest Cafe, you'll need to make reservations in advance as these, and all the other restaurants in the Disneyland Resort, tend to get c-r-o-w-d-e-d.
