Dumbo The Flying Elephant Description

It's only 90 seconds long, and the line can stretch for an hour. But if you haven't ridden Dumbo, you haven't done Disney. One of the most emblematic rides in the park, the flying elephant is a staple Disney ride, and is often the first thing kids head to when they arrive in the park. Based on the film of the same name, Dumbo takes gentle circles around the circus mouse in the middle, with controls that let you navigate your pachyderm to different altitudes. A surefire way to make any kid smile.

Planning Notes

Grounded for the moment. Dumbo is part of a massive refurbishment of Fantasyland slated to reopen in Summer 2012. Check the Disney World website before you go.
Make this a morning priority. Lines are shortest at the beginning of the day. Another good time: during parades and fireworks.
No height requirement. Youngest kids welcome.
