Flights of Wonder Description

Who knew birds had so much personality? In 30-minute shows under the Caravan Theater canopy, flying friends prove they're more than feather-brained, performing tricks, singing on command, and even snatching money from the hand of an unwitting audience member. Regal fellas, like an owl, patiently show off their stateliness, while the low-swooping flight of a hawk unquestionably demonstrates who's in charge. "Don't duck," says the trainer, "he'll just fly lower." The finale -- a rare, up-close visit with a bald eagle -- is nothing if not patriotic.

Kid Tips

School-Age Kids: The show is funny, interesting and occasionally awe-inspiring; a perfect recipe to keep their attention for the entire 30 minutes.

Planning Notes

  • Come early ... or late. Arrive early to nab a seat in the lower sections or you may have to watch the low-flying birds from behind. On the other hand, those who prefer a safe distance from the swooping critters might be just as happy in the back.
