Storytime With Belle Description

Duck into Belle's cool, tranquil Fairytale Garden behind Cinderella's Castle to enjoy an intimate story time. Get there a few minutes early, as this is an audience-participatory, interactive story time: Belle's helpers ask a few children from the audience to dress as "Beauty and the Beast" characters and play simple roles during the story telling, to the great delight of those chosen. And not to worry -- your child will be none the wiser if not selected. He or she will be too engrossed in the magical story to notice!

Kid Tips

Toddlers & Pre-K: If your child is asked to participate, explain what they will do -- follow Belle's simple directions and wear a costume of one of the story's characters.

Pre-Teens & Teens: School-age fans of "Beauty and the Beast" will enjoy the story time, but older kids will think it's a snooze.

Planning Notes

  • Stick around. Belle signs autographs, poses for snapshots, and meets all of the children after the story.
  • Seating is limited. Rather than squeeze into the center rows, grab seats along the right perimeter of the garden. Views are unobstructed (the pint-sized actors and actresses are at the right side of the stage), and you'll have more space to spread out.
