Epcot Description
With 11 countries spread over 305 acres, Disney's Epcot® isn't so much a small world as a miniature one. Some creative geography (Mexico next to Norway?!) sends families on an international expedition, dining on crepes in France for breakfast, shepherd's pie in the United Kingdom for lunch, and sushi in Japan for dinner. Young ones may find such tourist spots pedestrian next to their preferred destinations, namely those in Future World, where they can blast into the outer galaxy (Mission Space), venture to prehistoria (Ellen's Energy Adventure), and dive below sea level (The Living Seas With Nemo & Friends® attraction).

Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: Kids are mesmerized by Turtle Talk with Crush, where a cartoon turtle answers children's questions with uncanny ability.
School-Age Kids: The Soarin'™ attraction will leave them breathless. It's the rush of a lifetime to hang glide over the Golden Gate Bridge and California's redwood forests.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Skip the blisters and splurge on a Segway tour. Tours are offered for ages 16 and up by calling 407-WDW-TOUR.
Planning Notes
- Fine dine. The hardest-to-snag restaurant reservations include France, Mexico, and Canada. Slightly easier to get are China and the United Kingdom. Whichever cuisine you prefer, do yourself a favor and reserve ahead.
- Night light. Catch IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, without question the most impressive Disney fireworks-laser show.
- Ride the countries. World Showcase rides are easy to miss if you're not looking for them. Check out the boat rides in Mexico and Norway.
- Heed operating hours. World Showcase operates roughly 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Future World runs roughly 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., but flagship rides such as the Soarin'™ attraction and Test Track are often open later. Take your teens to explore the depths of Epcot (all 6 million gallons) at DiveQuest at the Seas with Nemo and Friends pavilion. Suit up with full scuba gear (after professional instruction) and dive into the aquarium for an encounter with 65 species of marvelous mammals, including sharks, rays, and sea turtles ($140 per person; call 407-WDW-Tour or 407-939-8687 for reservations and more information).

Reviews of Epcot®
My daughters scary moment
By pride0203 July 16, 2008 | Son: Age 10, Daughter: Age 12
What we loved:
I loved the countries and the way the waterfall played to the music.
What we didn't love:
The heat.
Epcot was very big and beautiful. However, I didnt appreciate that my daughter, who was only 2 at the time was allowed to go on the space ride. She came ou screaming crying. The guest services was very helpful. They told her it was going to be all right. They even gave her some candy. Once we took her to Morroco she was fine. I definitely recommend going to the World Showcase at Epcot. Read More
