An Awesome Little Gem

Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park in Walt Disney World

What we loved:
the ambiance, how beautiful and green it is

What we didn't love:
still growing into itself- it would be nice if there was more to do

Our children range in age from 11 to 21 years and we all love the Animal Kingdom. Although there is quite a bit to do for families with much younger children, we obviously bypass all of that and focus on what we enjoy doing. We love to go to Animal Kingdom first thing in the morning when the air is cool and the animals are more active. Yes, the Safari is a must- fast pass it as soon as you get into the park, go do something else for a while, and then check back later. Our other favorites include Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids and the Finding Nemo show. The Yak and Yeti restaurant is very nice. Keep your eyes open and pay attention to the detail and beauty of the park. It is easily the prettiest of the four theme parks of Walt Disney World. If your child likes animals like our youngest, there are many opportunities to see animals up close in a natural habitat or in a rather informal performance. One day during our last trip to Walt Disney World, we went over just for the Nemo show and dinner and it was worth the trip. You can truly see everything you care to see in just half a day, so a parkhopper pass is the way to go. It is still a relativley small park in terms of how much there is to do for any specific age group, but it will keep growing. But bottom line, you dont want to miss a visit to this place!
