What we loved:
The welcome of staff
What we didn't love:
The price for items...Food or goodies
Went to Magic Kingdom in March 09.... First major family vaction for us an the kids. I am 25, with 2 kids (6&3), and my husband is 30. This was the first time for us all, and let me tell you dreams do come true no matter your age. We booked our week vacation through a company, we ended up staying off Disney resorts but we were only 30 mins at the most away from the parks so that was fine, had hopper passes for all 4 main parks, and spent a total of $1,000.00 for that. We were very pleased for that part. Magic Kingdom was the first place we went. We loved how you got a FREE pin when you paid for parking the kids thought that was SO fun, to take the stub up to the right area and get a free gift. I would tell anyone with kids to go during none peak months (as stated we went in March), be one of the first ones there and sometimes you get chosen for special gifts or treatments. We got a survery book to do and sent it in and they sent us a $25.00 gift card to the Disney store:). Another cool trick if your kids are into trains, if you ask the gate keeper at the Montorails if you can sit with the drivers, they will let you and the kids get a little card afterward.. My 5 year old boy LOVED it. Plus being there early the lines are not long at all they started to pick up around 12:00-1:00, just the right time to leave for lunch and nap, and then come back. (if your tickets allow that) As a special thing for the kids we ate lunch once at each park just so we could say we did:), but other days we would leave, and grab lunch off the grounds, and go back to the hotel for lunch and naps which you all will need, plus it is alot CHEAPIER:)..We also learned that stollers are much cheaper at a discount store, we rented one from Magic Kingdom one time and then we went and brought one from a store. Also pack a bag. I brought a backpack, with wipes, water, gummie snacks, and little things like that cause you know how kids are they are always hugry, so that worked out great. They do fully check all baggage, but nothing was said about anything we brought it. Should have said sooner the opening show before the park opens is so cool, but remember the train and show people come out in the middle of the lot, and everyone wants to get there but when its over they will knock you down to get in the park first so stay by the park gates, you can see all the show people once you get it:).. If your like me and said " I can't leave Disney without some Mickey ears" prepare to pay for them ($21.00) not including taxes....The firework shows are very good. The only thing I did not like was prices of things but I was excepting them:), but other then that Magic Kingdom was my favorite out of them all..I was like a kid at some moments I could feel my eyes tear up abit when the kids would meet Mickey or Minnie, I mean come on I waited 26 years to go to Disney, and I cant wait until we can go back someday...Hope your dreams come true soon also:).....
