Downtown Disney Description
Since Disney is an entire world unto itself, it's fitting that it should have its own downtown complete with a retail center, nightlife hub, and even its own funky West Side. It's liveliest at night, when grown-ups take a break from theme-park fare and head to eateries like Wolfgang Puck (the celeb chef has a nice kids' menu too). Kids will be inspired by the LEGO structures in the Downtown Disney Marketplace section and will have a tough time choosing among the hordes of souvenirs at World of Disney.

Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: Head to the Marketplace for toy stores galore and ice cream treats.
Pre-Teens & Teens: The West Side has stores geared toward older kids, like the Virgin Megastore, House of Blues Company Store, and Planet Hollywood on Location. The AMC Pleasure Island 24 Theatres Complex is also a draw for this age group.
Planning Notes
- All that shopping and walking will work up an appetite. Sit-down venues (Wolfgang Puck, Rainforest Café) are almost always crowded, so be sure to reserve ahead. For quicker but still tasty service, try the counter service haunts in the Marketplace, including the Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express. A full listing of restaurants is available on the Downtown Disney website.
- Shops and restaurants open at 11 a.m. It's a perfect time to enjoy the food and retail therapy before the crowds set in later.
