Disney's Hollywood Studios Description

In terms of imaginary worlds, Golden-Age Hollywood is as much a fantasy land as a princess castle. Walking into this old-time movie-themed mecca (formerly Disney-MGM Studios) conjures images of starlets at Schwabbs and fedora-topped leading men strolling the Red Carpet at Grauman's Chinese Theater. The latter's been recreated with incredible detail, right down to the footprints on the front plaza. Inside, look for one of the park's signature attractions: the Great Movie Ride, a trip through classic Tinseltown flicks. Like everything else here, it's pure movie magic.

Toddlers & Pre-K: Don't miss Playhouse Disney-Live on Stage™, where they'll see much-loved Winnie the Pooh and Bear in the Big Blue House.

School-Age Kids: With its oversized leaves and other straight-from-the-flick elements, the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids playground is a school-age favorite.

Pre-Teens & Teens: They might not make it past Sunset Boulevard, home to The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ attraction and the Rock N' Roller Coaster® Starring Aerosmith attraction.

Planning Notes

Know thy age and stage. Depending on the age of your kids, you may not need an entire day at this park. The park is geared toward kids ages 3 and older who want to meet their favorite characters and see them perform live, or grade schoolers on up with a love of stomach-flipping thrill rides.
Catch a show. The Fantasmic! Show, Beauty and the Beast Live On Stage, and the Voyage of the Little Mermaid are kid favorites.
See the show. The stellar Fantasmic! show is a crowd favorite, and occasionally a sellout. Pick a night and arrive one to two hours early. Better yet, reserve a dining package with preferred seating by calling 407-WDW-DINE.
