Captain Memo's Pirate Cruise Description
Be warned, Mom and Dad: This boat ride is all about the kids, who transform into playful pirates even before the ship leaves the dock. The fun kicks off with a water fight (against the adults, of course), transitions to a scavenger hunt for "gold," moves into a game of musical chairs, and eventually culminates with a boat full of happy sailors (adults included) belting out songs and showing off dance moves. It's a sometimes-kitschy-but-never-dull two-hour adventure on the Gulf that the whole family will enjoy.
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: Kids this age will be engaged and entertained for the entire two hours, proudly sporting painted pirate faces and donning pirate caps.
Pre-Teens & Teens: If you're traveling with older kids only, skip this cruise and opt for a standard boat tour instead.
Planning Notes
- Book in advance. Although walk-on tickets are sometimes available, it's best to reserve tour times in advance.
- Arrive early. Parking in Clearwater can be hard to come by. Follow the crew's recommendations to avoid hefty parking fines.
- Bathrooms on board. Clean, full-service facilities are available on the ship.
- Food and drinks for purchase. Complimentary champagne and beer are offered on the sunset cruise in addition to a full cash bar (soft drinks are complimentary on all cruises). A small selection of snack food is available on board, but it's best to eat before or after the cruise.
