Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum Description

A short drive (or a long walk) from the Inner Harbor are two museums that will be the highlight of any sports fan's trip to Baltimore. Then, if you follow the path of 60 baseballs from the painted statue of Babe Ruth at Camden Yards and you'll arrive at the Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum three blocks away. Kid Tips

School-Age Kids: Sports fans will be enthralled by the museum.

Pre-Teens & Teens: Those who've studied the Civil War or World War II will appreciate the videotaped interviews with sailors during the attack on Pearl Harbor and footage of various battles.

Planning Notes

  • Parking.Street and garage parking are available around downtown, along streets at the Camden Yards complex, and surrounding Babe Ruth's birthplace.

Just the Facts

Hours: Both museums are open seven days a week from April to September, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. From October to March the museums are open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The museums are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.

Fees: Admission to both babe Ruth Birthplace and the nearby Sports Legends Museum is $5 for kids 3-12, $12 for adults and $8 for seniors.
