The National Museum of American History Description

More than 3 million artifacts -- from automobiles to Kermit the Frog -- make America's history come to life. Where else but this museum will you find an original Pac Man bank, a replica of Julia Child's Kitchen and the Gettysburg Address all under one roof?

Kid Tips

School-Age Kids: The museum offers several activity guides for elementary and middle school students and their families: "Foods on the Move," People on the Move" and "Businesses on the move?" All are available free online or at the Museum's Welcome Desk.

Pre-Teens & Teens: Teens will get a big kick out of all the pop culture icons around the museum, such as Dorothy's ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz and Evel Knievel's Harley-Davidson.
