Washington Doll's House and Toy Museum Description

Yes, there's the sweet Edwardian Tea Room, and sure, there are dollhouses and miniatures galore, making this nirvana for little girls. But don't leave the boys outside with Dad. Victorian-era boys, it turns out, played with things still popular today: blocks, toy soldiers, and wooden toys that never fail to delight.

Kid Tips

Toddlers & Pre-K: The shorter the child, the more awed they'll be by the 5-foot-tall Mexican dollhouse.

Planning Notes

  • Do a little shopping. If you're a dollhouse-fancier yourself, don't miss the two on-site shops: one sells miniatures, the other building materials.
