DC Ducks Land and Sea Tours Description
This is no ordinary tour: Kids fascinated with military vehicles are excited to find that the Ducks land/water vehicles are actually restored WWII amphibious personnel carriers. The younger kids are just thrilled to find out that the open-air, bumpy, truck-like trip on wheels turns into a boat ride on the Potomac.
Kid Tips
School-Age Kids: Ask your Ducks captain if your kids can sit in the driver's seat. These guys are usually quite enthusiastic about kids.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Share a moment in WWII homefront history, especially with your daughters: Most of the 21,000 amphibious vehicles used during the war were made by a mainly female workforce.
