Dolphin Encounter with The Divine Dolphin Description
Swimming with dolphins has been outlawed in Costa Rica since 2006, thanks to the government's commitment to environmental sensitivity. Nature-loving teens will appreciate the dolphin experts at The Divine Dolphin's explanation of how much it stressed these beautiful mammals to have humans jumping into the water with them. Instead, The Divine Dolphin takes you out for a boat ride the puts you right smack into the center of a pod of dolphins, where you spend hours watching them play from just feet away. As the guides explain, when you jump in the water with dolphins they get scared and swim away, so staying in the boat allows you to have a much longer encounter.
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: Young kids would not enjoy being cooped up on a boat, so this adventure's best suited for 6 and older.
Planning Notes
- This trip is run through the Delfin Amor Eco Lodge. You don't have to stay at the Delfin Amor eco-lodge to take this dolphin-spotting boat trip, and booking it as a day trip is a much more cost-effective option.
