Treehouse Kids Adventure Center Description
Costing $17 million, the brand new, 25,000-square-foot Treehouse Kids Adventure Center offers a healthy dose of something the Aspen/Snowmass area had been lacking: activities that don't involve zooming down mountainsides, for kids of all ages.
The Center offers visitors a two-story spectacle of themed rooms dedicated to hands-on instruction about the West, wildlife, mountains, and more. The climbing wall is designed for the entire family. Ski lessons are available for kids ages 7-12, plus snowboarding lessons for the 8-12 set. The Snowmass Village Mall is nearby, in case your easily bored teens need entertaining.
Kid Tips
Babies: Some of the themed rooms are geared towards parents with infants, which means lots of scooting around with your little one on a padded floor.
Toddlers & Pre-K: They love animals (bears, mountain lions, eagles) -- and they like pretending these critters are in their orbit. The Center has rooms dedicated to probing the wild imaginations of kids, and they use the Wild West to do it. A winning idea.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Yes, the place will be full of little people, and yes, this might annoy those eye-rolling 15-year-olds. Thankfully, the Center has carved out areas (i.e. the nearby shopping district) so they'll be amongst themselves.
Planning Notes
- Access is easy. Parking is nearby and free shuttles drop off families at the entrance to the Center. You can even ski up to the front door.
- No need to bring food. The Center has a cafeteria.
