Bear Viewing and Ecology Tours Description
High above Whistler Village, deep in the summer shadows of the hemlock-cedar forests, nearly 50 black bears forage for food and shelter. On this Jeep and walking safari, you'll join a professional guide to visit active bear dens and feeding sites, see local wildlife, and — if you're lucky — witness a mother bear playing with her cubs. Along the way you'll enjoy spectacular views of glacial mountain peaks and learn how mountain resorts are designed to coexist peacefully with nature.
Kid Tips
School-Age Kids: There are no specific age restrictions, but kids should be able to hike a reasonable distance and be respectful of nature, including wildlife.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Give 'em the camera!
Planning Notes
- What to wear. Layered clothes are easy to peel off as you warm up. And wear sturdy shoes for hiking.
