Whistler Kids Description

The kids program at Whistler is more than a ski school — it's kid heaven. By day, weekly themes and activities make learning to ski and ride so much fun they'll forget they're learning anything. By night, parents disappear while kids enjoy pizza dinners and theme parties with movies, ice skating, swimming, and snow games. Even the smallest children have a place, with childcare available for babies as young as three months. Kid-loving counselors and coaches keep the action going in half-and full-day programs or multiday camps.

Kid Tips

Babies: Childcare is available year-round for babies and toddlers starting at 3 months of age. Parents receive pagers for peace of mind while skiing.

Toddlers & Pre-K: Ski lessons are available for kids starting at age 3.

School-Age Kids: Snowboard lessons begin at age 6. Private and semi-private lesons are available, as are weekend and multiday camps. Call ahead to reserve a spot, especially during busy seasons.

Pre-Teens & Teens: Check out the Park Freeride Groups. A maximum of three advanced skiers and riders only will explore park and pipe riding from intro to advanced. Helmets are mandatory.

Planning Notes

  • Bring medical info the first day. You'll need to provide the name and phone number of your family physician, medical plan information, medical history (including any allergies, disabilities, immunizations, and medication), and an emergency contact name and number.
  • Lunch is included. You don't need to provide lunch, but if you decide to pack one, it should be nut free.
